The effects
of unethical e-business and e-marketing practices are further clashing
with
unprecedented movement of professional establishments into the e-zone. Business is concerned with
the integrity of
service delivery over an electronic medium. Only a medium which is
secure and
of high integrity can be of value to a business who wants to use it to
sell
their product.
The
delivery system can degrade a product’s worth. Point in
fact, spam e-mail marketing makes up for 50% of the world-wide
e-mail.
These
tactics defame our society, ranging from plain old dodgy to,
misdirecting,
exaggerating, omitting and the degrading of language to sell regardless
of
customer’s needs or criteria.
To get
enough sales they have to use magnitude methods in IP and privacy back
doors.
This shows
a direct relationship between honest information, and value for money.
As part of
my ongoing research into ethical e-business practices I came across
this
government website giving the basics of e-business laws and regulations.
This
website provides information and resources about e-business for small
businesses in
http://www.e-businessguide.gov.au/
There are a
lot of websites selling internet only products and shop-front products,
they
all have one thing in common that sets them apart from dodgy sites.
It is that
the presentation of the site is obviously and earnestly trying to
inform the customer.
An honest
businessman knows that if he informs customers of his product they will
buy it
because there is a demand.
The honest
business doesn’t need to over-hype; if one does rug sales
then he is either dealing
with very large stocks or looking for the inevitable 1/1ooth person who
will
buy out of confusion or blind trust.
The use of
moderate artwork, good clear page structure for links and functions,
and actual
valuable information is by far an advantage over templated art/frame,
crowded
& blurred out of sequence page structure, all hype to buy and
nothing to
build a relationship.
Most
illegitimate e-businesses think having and using your e-mail address is
building a relationship, but it doesn’t because customers
only want a
relationship when they are buying. They’re not interested in
the business at
all until they consider buying something from it.
The
internet has become, especially with sites like Facebook, an archive,
communication and information system that is as necessary as was e-mail
to
posted mail. For the time it has had to become a real world network
there were
many scavengers and cheats and practiced pros. Society by magnitude and
social
ethics is fully embracing our new network and there is a chance for us
to deal
with any dead-beats within the group before the teacher comes in and
punishes
us all, as usual.
